Okay, so I printed out a shipping label for one of my packages, (LP2 formative years rolls) they are in the box, and I have them wrapped in brown paper, and purchased a shipping label for priority mail, flat rate box, because it was the only one I saw with a box Now reading over it, I can't ship this damn thing, because it is not in a USPS FLAT RATE BOX So what do I do now?? I printed out another (duplicate) shipping label, and I was planning to just put the label on that FLAT RATE BOX the post office is making me get, but I don't want to do that, but it seems like I'm going to have to Now, I have another package, same weight, same thing What can I chose, as a shipping method, to avoid this fiasco? Can I ship Large Package, First Class Parcel Post, or what? How else can I ship this, without using a USPS FLAT RATE BOX?
Aggggg, I honestly think my heart will beat outta my chest here... I have no clue what to do, and I do not intend on paying $20 for shipping! Somebody please help
Beats me. I usually just box it up and hand it to the person at the post office. If they're charging you $20 for that, I'd try UPS or something. I've shipped five pounds to Europe for less than that. Guy~
You can't buy a flat rate box from USPS and put your own prepaid shipping label on it? It absolutely has to be in a USPS-brand box to get the good rate? Sounds like a catch 22.
If you have already paid for the flate rate box shipping and printed out that label, just go to the post office ask for the flate rate priority mail box, and tape the label onto the box and ship it.
Okay, it looks like I can do what raider just said, for the first package Now, I have another package, that is the same way, except I have not printed out a label yet, my question is, can I send it another way, using a different service via USPS Here is what USPS says about this First-Class Mail® Parcel service - Envelopes and small packages that are at least 3/4 of an inch at their thickest point and weigh 13 ounces or less. If not greater than 3/4 of an inch thick, the contents must be prepared in a strong and rigid container. A shipper who selects First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation must meet the following requirements: Articles that measure 1/4 to 3/4 inch thick must be machinable according to DMM 401.1.0. Articles must be rigid or inflexible either because of the container or because of the item itself. Any article over 3/4 inch thick at its thickest point is eligible and need not be rigid Now, my BOX is 1 inch thick, can I ship it using this method?
First off, how many rolls are you shipping? What do they weigh? Flat rate boxes are FREE and they are good boxes. I do not see what your problem is using them. If you have enough weight, they are absolutely the cheapest way to go. About the only alternative is priority mail.
My problem is... I have one box, that I printed out a shipping label for I didn't know I needed a FLAT RATE BOX, to ship them out the way I printed out my shipping label Knowing these boxes of which you speak are free, makes my life a whole lot easier Now, I don't want to pay $10 again, on shipping for an item that weighs 11 ounces The box is one inch thick, and weighs 11 ounces Can I ship it using FIRST CLASS MAIL PARCEL???
I would say with the second box just wrap it up, label it and everything, and bring it to the post office, and they will tell you how much it costs to ship, and they will hand stamp it.
Yes bring it to the post office, you can send it first class mail, I think it should cost around 5-6 bucks.
Online, I have everything ready and set to go, and it would cost me $3.11 Using it as a large package... Should I print this shipping label, or bring it in
Do not sent it in a flat rate box! Priority mail will cost less ($4.85 to anywhere USA). As for the label you already printed (and apparently paid for), I would guess that you can take it to the post office and get you money back. Elsewise, cut the label off the box and tape it on the flat rate box from the PO.
Sorry I should have checked first I was thinking Priority here are the prices: First class should be $2.95
Alrighty, I can take that to the post office, and get that box, and tape that label to it.. As for the second package... Should I print out the shipping label I have ready to go, but have not paid for yet, it is $3.11, for First Class Parcel, large package
Yes, you can send that package via First Class Package, however, I do not believe you are allowed to process First Class, Media Mail, and Parcel Post packages via the internet. You would have to go in person, if I am not mistaken.
I've been processing first class packages over the internet on everything.. Never had a problem before
Alrighty, printed out label for the first class mail package, and that will be shipped tomorrow And the other one will be shipped on friday, the priority mail one Thanks for all y'alls help
The parcel fee will be around $2.50 for that weight, it's all them extras like insurance and confirmation...the kind of stuff you need to get because there are times the job just doesn't get done right...that makes it so expensive.
