    i was talking to my broter today and were talking coins and he give me 1690 crown and 1851 penny he had them in a jar so i was very happy to get them but could you grade them i know the images are not great but am still working on a moblie phone thanks
    Olso is there any dip that could make the copper penny a lilte bit clearer with no cleaning

    Man..thats old..1690. Im inclined to believe soaking in olive oil may release some of the crud, but Ill officially hold off and let the antique coin collectors pipe in.
    Any idea how much that 1690 is worth..and lets say if it was graded VG?

    The Penny looks to be in Good(G) condition and I don't know what to say about the crown, considering I have never seen one before. Nice coins regardless!:D Soaking in olive oil would help, but you could try a acetone bath for about 5 min. and rinse with distilled water. Just remember, do what you think is best, not just because I told you.;)

    vg is worth apox 175 pounds but worth more to me because my brother gave it

    After looking at other examples, of the crown, I think VG to Fine sounds pretty good. That crown sure has some history behind it. I learned something new today. Thanks for sharing!:D

    The Gunmoney series is very interesting. :D Have you looked at yours very closely to see if there is anything under it, since these were used to raise money, sorta like bonds, and when they were turned in they reused them by re-coining them and lots of them have undertypes to them, like the one below.

    have been buying a trap very rare child's carriage it is from the late 1800 or early 1900 hun it was made for a child and id do belive it was before harrod's of london was born the story before harrod was three thery was a esate belong to a lord and this so the story goes it was ment to be that he order the carriage for one of his children and it was for a shetland pony so i will not post any image of the carriage un less i am asked since this is a coin talke post but would love too
