$2025 and the reserve is not yet met. Wow. Is this new? I hadn't heard of this president having an edge error before.

What do you think his reserve is?

i lost count and track of the smooth edge dollars after the first couple/few. I really have no idea how many of these might be out there, and so i dont know about any value. Will be interesting to see how this auction ends.... and then if the price holds over time.

 

No it is not new, but plain edge coins are much scarcer on the other Presidents than Washington.

This was also a slabbed MS66.

Final price was $2500......

Not a bad profit for a one dollar coin....

 

One was sold as I recall a while back for close to $4,500. Now I have to go and see what the Adams smoothies are going for. Might be a good time to unload 1 or 2 : )
