yeah i would consider it fine for what it is which is low grade. It doesn't stand out as obviously cleaned to me but bq got it right with an old dipping.

WATCH OUT FOR THOSE KINDS OF PICTURES
Everytime a coin is pcitured like that, with that flash on those areas, just like so, it is a cleaned coin, everytime, or they are hiding something!
Good finds! The first one was cleaned at one point, one way, but it looks to have retoned

Hm...Interesting would you say to stray away from it? and thanks for all of your advice you are VERY helpful (not that any other member isn't) It does seem to good to be true a Maybe XF (minus the ding on reverse) coin going for $11 plus $2.00 shipping

Stray away from photos, that are taking at odd angles, or outside, with sunlight reflecting on one spot...
Items with pictures, at different angles, and with and without flash are always good...
You just want to try to see the way the coin looks, without seeing it in hand
Always buy, with a return policy specified

You make a good point, if a seller has a quality coin they would want good pictures to show that QUALITY thanks!

I think that was a good choice. If in doubt don't bid - can save a lot of headaches.

The pictures of both of those are so bad that I would stay away from them. You can't really tell anything from the pictures so you are basically buying them blind. The rim ding on the second coin is pretty big and IMHO it makes the coin ungradable.

This is how a lot of people think, but if there is a return policy, this may be for the better b/c it will wean people away from bidding, then if the coin is in a condition which you didn't notice, you can always return it, with no return policy though, I'm with you 100% !

The only problem is it's long shot to be something good. If you do this 100 times you might win 5 or at best 10. For all the others you have to return the coin (typically at your cost). IMHO it's not worth the risk because it will cost more in the long run.

true, the potential $$ saved is not worth the pain in the ass. Really depends though, you'd have to look at feedback/prev auctions to get a good idea of if to bid or not but still in most cases, more pain in the ass. Can be good though if you're lucky, maybe even just to resell w/good pic and make some $$$.

True nothing is worse than no coins and being out shipping both ways

True, however, everytime I've returned something for a refund, the refund included the initial shipping (although I doubt this is required of them) but that's still too much if the odds are stacked against you.
