Bolivia 1804 8 Reales

    Not in the best condition. I think around VF, but still a nice coin. Only cost me $35 US at an auction.

    Congratulations! But sorry to burst your bubble but even without the damage I don't believe it would grade a VF. Maybe a VG but I don't real-ly(pun) know about Reals.

    I love the way members state they don’t know anything about the pieces in question yet they always give out a grade…

    I will assume that he does have some idea as to how to grade a coin though even if he might not know the history of it

    This is what the world coin graders at the TPG's are also doing! They don't know about the series-- how the coins were stuck, whether there is a difference between different years and so on.... they are all graded according to the general grading standards.

    I believe this is what byrd740 also wanted to say and gave a general grade. BTW I like the look of the coin and the price too!
