    found poormans 1955 cent no vdb also has reeded edge tring to send photo there was one other man who posted one in 2000 and got no response

    It appears to be just damage but try to get another scan because the scan is too small. Try to set the resolution higher.

    i tried so lets say its not damaged it would be hard to damage it all the way around like that any way would anyone no what it would be worth it it is reeded and no vdb.1955 poormans d.die

    Easy, hard or otherwise, it's the only way a US cent could get what appears to be a reeded edge.
    Yes, I know that it's worth exactly 1/100th of a US dollar.
    Anyone with the patience (and tools) to put fake reeding on a coin certainly has the ability to remove a small raised area.

    Here is an enlargement of your coin's edge in which it is easy to see that the "reeding"
    • is not evenly spaced
    • doesn't consist of completely parallel lines
    • and doesn't have even depth.

    Can we get a better scan of the edge at a higher res? I am pretty sure it is damage but it can't hurt to see.
