Morning people. I just got through checking my order status for some stuff on the mint web site and I came across an order # that I hadn't specifically placed so I did what every other self respecting mint customer would do, I clicked on it....and nothing came up, just the 800 #. I kind o' figured it was for the proof sets that go on sale today (6/1) at 12 PM (I've got a subscription for some) but I had to make sure so I called. Sure enough it was just that. Now, my experience in the past was always that the subscription item would appear on the order listing prior to it going on sale at the prescribed time. Not so in this case. I suspect that the item will appear after the 12 PM sale time but we'll have to wait till then to find out. This happenin' to anyone else? Also, given this so called new practice by the mint, you guys think we'll get first dibs on these sets? Frankly, I doubt we will but you never know.
I have a subscription also, and I can't get past the first catalog page to verify if my order has been placed or not, and it's been that way for a while now.
It's 2:30 EDT now and I've never seen the mint website crawl this slow. It just took, literally, 2 minutes to load the main catalog front page. I sympathize with you guys trying to check on order status. I don't have any of those to worry about at the moment, I just want to browse, and it's still maddening.
2:32 and I just got in. I"m tryin' to order one more set. Let's conduct a little experiment. Let's see which order gets to me first, the subscription order or the order that I place in the next few minutes.
the brief delay has been going on for 30...oh, wait! they've answered! That was rather quick, actually. They're sending it FedEx! That's interesting.....
