trying to find out information on this medal which is dated 1927 and engraved with the name P.M. Dammann. The medal is about the size of the palm of my hand.
I have seen something similar to this before and was told it was a medal for distinguished service in the 'Emergency Services' ..... for performing something above and beyond the call of duty... but please do not accept that as an explanation as I am totally unsure if it is the same medal.... so it is a 'suggestion' Best wishes, Mike.
Hi Kristina welcome to CoinTalk, that is a stunning medal, I have not seen it before though Cn you possibly post a clearer image of the other side as I am interested in seeing if perhaps there is a signiture on it. If there is it would help to id it.
