Hello Everyone. I am a new member. I am not new to coins. But I have a comemerative set I bought from a individual. The set is from the Atlanta Olympic Games. It's a four piece set, Proof clad half dollars. It has the soccer, basketball, swimming and baseball coins. I have looked through the Red book, including the 2010 Red Book and I have had no luck, determining this set's value. I paid $40.00 for the set. Any help I can get will be appreciated. Thanks Ray

    Thanks

Thanks for the help. I have seen the prices for the coins by themselves. I was wanting a price for this set. The baseball and basketball are 1995, the swimming and soccer are 1996. Thanks Ray

It sounds like a set put together by an individual rather than a set issued by the Mint. You'll have to value it by totaling the values of the individual coins.

Thanks Hobo for your post. I have a fairly extensive collection of comemoratives. I have bought and sold a few over the years. But I have not seen a set like these anywhere. They are in a U.S. Mint box. Inside there are 4 places for each of these coins. Also there is the certificate of Authenticity with the set. It reads Four Coin Clad Proof Set. It also has written, U.S, Olympic COINS of the Atlanta Centennial Olympic Games. Inside the certificate it gives an explanation of each of the coins. This set just has me puzzled. Years ago I learned about the comem sets, and dont buy them without the box and paper work. In my earlier post I stated I gave $40.00 for the set. The money is No big deal, this set just makes me wonder. Take Care, and Thanks Again...Ray
