Sorry...I was just looking at the JM coin.... I think you better wait till the mint gives out info to hear about it....this was the first I had heard about it. Speedy
Here ya go guys...http://www.usmint.gov/pressroom/index.cfm?action=press_release&ID=597 Priced at $59.95, the set includes a Chief Justice John Marshall Uncirculated Silver Dollar, an intaglio print of a statue of the Chief Justice produced by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and a booklet about Marshall written by the Supreme Court Historical Society. The product limit is 25,000 units, with a limit of 10 units per order and household. On August 1, 2005, if the product is still available, order limits will be lifted. Good luck RickieB
Hey Spider.. I am under the impression that the 25,000 mintage figure will be just like the 2004 Peace Medal Nickle Set..outta sight due to the mintage!!! get it whiles it's cheap!! RB
The difference is that the peace medal was very popular apart from the coin and medal set, but Justice Marshall has much less broad of appeal. I expect 25,000 of these to be enough to meet the demand. I won't be buying any. What it boils down to is how many people REALLY want to own one of these? Even if they sell out initially to "investors", if no one wants to own these long term, then they will not appreciate in value.
