I took newer pictures of all my coins, and did the little framey thingy on photoscape I think these pictures are about 1000% times better than the set of pics I should you all before So what do you think of my morgans now? And can't forget about my babies
images are good Coins are better lol i would make the images bigger, and the label smaller. after all, the coins are what we really want to see
Looking good. Two suggestions: 1. You are getting "hot" spots in your images. The bright areas are washing out. A light diffuser will help some. I cut the top off half-gallon plastic milk containers and slide them over my light sources. Take care that you don't melt it though. 2. Consider a second light source to help more evenly light the coin's surface. Place it on the other side of the coin from you first light, but not directly across. Sort of like one lighting from the northwest and the other from the east. You have to experiment to see what gives you good results. And different coins require different angles. Proof coins are really tough.
They're getting better! :thumb: And I'm still drooling over that '63DPL. Do you have a setting on your camera that allows you to choose which size of the picture you want? If so, put it on max. The pictures will be much larger and you'll be able to see more of the coin.
P.S. I use loupes. They help a ton! I picked them up at a hardware store for $3 and got 5 different sizes. They really make your pictures larger. For example, here's a Morgan I used a 3X power on. (And yes, I need to work on my lighting, LOL! )
Well I'm a working on it! But I can't seem to find on photoscape where I can do such a thing... Yes, I can make the image fairly big, showing obverse and reverse, but then, I have no label to put there...URRRG
Well, all I have is my harris 16x magnifier... I can't get a decent pic with that, because it is too small, and it can't get the whole coin clearly
Thanks I think that they all look fairly good, but that 1896 is giving me problems. For some reason I can't capture the coin, without using heavy flash, in the new edge view holder. I would use my scanner, because I have a good one, except it magically tones my coins, not the coins themselves but the pictures comes out, as they were toned
