1858 seated dime

    Ok, so I've been scowering for nice seated dimes that are in my price range( < $200). I've been settling too much. They've been hard to come by lately; but I believe that this one fits the bill for what I've been looking for. It has wear, but an attractive balance of color/detail and luster in my opinion. I also have a PCGS AU-58 1853 arrows dime on the way that I will post pics of later...:cool:

    What is not to like! That toning is really something!

    After removing the coin from the slab, I took some additional photos. The color on the obverse is strong compared to the original pictures.

    I think it was a bad idea cracking it out of the slab. :eek: I preferred it graded. ;)

    I am no expert but why would you remove it from a slab? I would prefer it in one..

    because the big square piece of plastic won't fit in the tiny circular hole that the DANSCO 7070 gives me.:cool:

    I photograph all my coins both in and out of the slab, and I keep the labels in case I decide to sell.
