Someone bought a lottery ticket with this

A little after we closed Friday night, my office clerk called me and said I got a 2$ bill that's different from the rest of them. I liked hearing that and went back to the cash room and a red seal was on the counter. Someone bought a lotto ticket with it, and I picked it up for face. I know it's only worth 2$ but I thought it was cool. I love picking up old currency and coins for face. There's been a tremendous amount of world coins show up as people cash in the old coin jars too.

It came out ok on another board he posted on in. Here's the note:

Common series, but the note appears to be in very nice condition. Definitely a keeper! Not sure if the centering is off that much or if his scanner tries to get 'smart' with edge detection. What's strange is that the person who spent it didn't tear off a corner to cancel the bad luck associated with the $2 bill..especially since they were buying a lottery ticket!

Nice...that bottom note is a rare block...and if it's NOT a mule, then it's extremely rare!

Would you please go into more detail on that? I'll have to open my safe-deposit box and check it. I always thought the $1 was the more valuable of those bills.
