My sister noticed what appears to be an udder in the American Bison Nickel. Is that part of the design or an error?

I must ask! where is the "udder" located could you compair it with another nickel to see if it looks the same as the other MALE BISONS, if it is different then several other coins then maybe your on to something.

"Udder" Is Shown On US Mint Website

No, the udder, if that what it is, is plainly visible; especially on the proof set and is shown on the enlargement sketch of the US Mint. It is not an error.

I found this from another thread and googled it..

Bison and many of the cattle group have a prepuce tassel, a tuft of hair hanging from the foreskin around the penis opening. ...

Thats what it is.. not an udder..

I know, way too much information. But true.

Do you guys always make fun of anyone who finds and error?

    How sad.

The sad thing is your coming back here after trash-talking CoinTalk in the other forums. Even their administators locked your threads as inappropriate.

Maybe I'm blind or something, but where exactly have we "made fun of" anyone in this thread who may or may not have found an error? A question was posed to the members of this forum, and it was answered using the best available information. No person in here was made fun of in any way, least of all yourself.

Errorcoins couldn`t get everyone to agree with him a few weeks back, and he left in a huff. He promptly trash-talked Cointalk on some other coin forums. Their admin locked his trash talk thread as inappropriate.

Which means quite a lot, since she tries not to do ANY editing or locking if she can avoid it!
