I just came across a nickel that strikes me as odd. It was minted in 1964 and it looks as if it pressed in too hard because it's deeper than most. I am no expert, so I don't know if this is a common trait of nickels during that year or if it is indeed unique. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Howdy skarlet13 - Welcome to the Forum !! If you can, please a pic of the coin you are asking about. It's kind of hard to help you without seeing the coin.
Jefferson nickels have been struck in lower relief sinse about 1989. Those prior to that date have designs that "stand up" more, and don't apper to be as "flat" as recent date issues.
