I was on ebay and saw this come across for $1.50 for 5 of them. I only wanted one because I liked them, but the price was right. I will add to my paper money notebook. From what I could gather, it is Bangladesh, 2 Taka, P-6C, Uncirculated. If you know anything more including approx worth, that would be great, otherwise, please ooo and awwww for me.
P-6C sounds right to me but to help make things interesting, there are a total of 6 signature combinations for this note I have P-6Cf posted on my site, so i have 5 others to collect My 14th edition of the Pick catalog doesnt show P-6C... for some reason they deleted it. I am sure it was accidental, but its still not there. So i can not give you a value.
the note i have is dated 2003, with the date being on the reverse just behind the birds tail.... with the book missing the P-6C listing, i cannot know for sure if the other notes in the P-6C sub-listings are all dated or not.
I like birds, and bird watching, birds have a very special place in my heart Thanks for showing this note, it is very beautiful, and I'm glad you got it at such a nice price
I don't see a year behind the tail on mine Daggarjon....in fact, I see no numerals on it at all. hmmmmmmm
Here is mine :thumb: 1988 2 Taka Orange/Green/Black Sun behind Shahid Minar of the Language Movement National bird - Doyel (Dhyal) or Magpie-robin Wmk Head of a Royal Bengal Tiger Now if you can see not a single mumeral on your note then you are not looking very hard LOL how about the value? and theserial number
my note, with the date, is P-6Cf .. so many the P-6Ca, P-6Cb, P-6Cc ect.. are all different years? With the f being printed in 2006.... i just dont know with my books missing the P-6C. i know older Pick catalogs have P-6C listed... if somebody has the 10th or 11th or so, please check yours edit -- i dont think your note is the same as De Orcs ... the sigs are different.... but of course... it still could be lol
No the sig is different but the best I can say it was printed pre 2002 as that I think is when they started with the date behind the tail. Checked my catalouge and guess what it's missing LOL I think the 1st one was issued in 1987
OOH, a duce I don't have. Fresh! I really like the screen type things in front of the sun on the back. If you really only wanted 1, PM me. Nice work!
a friend of mine has an older Pick catalog and has the listing for P-6C. I asked if he could scan that page or even just that listing and email it to me. If he can, we shall see what it says about the elusive P-6C listing and the varieities listed under if.. if any the mystery continues lol
In the 4th edition (1998), Pick lists P-6C at $0.50 in UNC. It does not list any signature or other varieties of the note. Dave
THANKS Dave.......mystery solved! I need to get around to posting some more of my paper. Been too busy with the 09 dimes.....I'll get to it soon as I have a couple more Old Russian notes that are very interesting including an 1898 one (my oldest world note). Thanks again for your help on this!
... or is it take a look at this scan showing just the P-6C listing in an earlier Pick catalog. I do not know what version, sorry but this scan clearly shows multiple varieties, and lists the notes original issuance as 1988. Of course we know that as years passed more varieties were added to the P-6C list. I am unsure now how many are listed below P-6C.
