    Two odd coins. Not anything to speak of, really, but a slow night so I thought I'd share. One the obverse is a little off center (reverse is perfect) creating quite a rim on one side. The other has an incredibly weak strike on the letters of the edge of the coin on both the obverse and reverse. You can barely read E Pluribus and USA. Here they are....

    The 1992 looks normal, but I have not seen a well circulated state quarter like that.

    Yes, look at the difference between "In God We Trust" and "United States of America"

    quite a difference, no?

    The 1992 is a normal strike. When dies are installed in the press they can be adjusted to be in line with each other. But as long as the complete design is on the coin the mint considers the alignment within tolerance and will run the press. Slight mis alignment is common. The state quarter looks to me like the letters were struck through grease. Again this is common and carries no premium.
