Don't cheat and look at the pic code. Once the grade is revealed - what do you think it's worth???? Going through some proof sets recently acquired and ran into this screamer that jumped out at me. Ran it through our certification company (and, we DO NOT favor our coins or anyone elses, we call them as we see them) and guess what grade we got? The specs you see are NOT on the coin. They are on our scanner table and a couple on the slab itself. Coin is exceptionally clean. Never saw one this nice. I noticed PCGS has none listed graded higher. Again, don't cheat by looking at PCGS listings. Simply look at the coin - WITHOUT THE SPECS SHOWING - and see what you think. Danke to all the good people here at CT.

Well you said PCGS has certified NONE HIGHER.. And I'm sure PCGS has certified PF68's in that year... Is it a 69? (P.S.) If what you are saying is true, about their being no specs, this is what I think it might grade at, with the pictures provided, I would say PF65, maybe... I'd need better pictures
re: proof 1963 quarter Again I want to apologize for the photo. I have a printer/scanner combo that I use for book publishing. In the process of running thousands of sheets of paper through it it creates lots of chaf that via static adheres to the inside of the scanner plate. The coin in question, in hand, has ABSOLUTELY NO chaf on it like the pic shows. It is a near perfect mirror finish with a blast white super cameo which is a little hard to find in earlier proofs such as this. Anyway, here is what the graders said: #1 grader - PF69 DCAM #2 grader - PF70 DCAM #3 grader - PF70 DCAM #4 grader - PF69 DCAM Finalizer - PF69 DCAM on the slab We use 4 very knowledgeable graders. I am the finalizer. I am 72 years old and have been dealing in coins since I was 15 years old. 2 other graders are well seasoned. One is 77 and the other is 75 years old and been around a long time. :kewl: And, as mentioned earlier - WE GIVE NO FAVORABLE GRADES to either our own house coins and/or coins submitted to us by the public - NONE!! We simply call them as we see them. No games. The coin is the finest 63 proof I ever remember seeing in my 50+ years of handling coins. A true GEM. Now the question is: what is a fair price???? Numis prices it at $300 PCGS prices it at $775 CW prices it at $350 I presently have it listed at $599 on my website but think that may be a tad high?????? What are your thoughts????? $599 is way to high... You can't just look at PCGS, and set your price by that Numismedia is at $300 People will be looking to pay, under $300...
I am leaning that way tmoneyeagle. Am seriously considering lowering the price although it is a beautiful coin.
Everybody is always looking for a deal...Near wholesale, really anything below retail IF I was a wahington quarter collector, I might pay as much as $275-$285 for that coin you have there...
I disagree with ALL of the graders. PF-67 Deep Cameo is my grade provided the marks are not on the coin.
It's definitely not that hard to find that it constitutes a $599 price tag. Maybe $250 at the most but let's be honest here. It's not PCGS, it's not NGC, it's not even a second tier grader like ANACS or ICG. It's graded by NACGS. You don't make a name for yourself as a TPG by slabbing coins really high and trying to sell them for more than they're worth. Sure it's a great coin, but a $600 coin? I don't think so.
