Dead like the luster in the picture? lol

Hopefully it will have good luster in hand. You can tell the pics are with a loupe so it is probably blocking the light. $15 isn't too much of a gamble with toning like that.

I think the best way to not get outbid would be to not draw attention to it.

    That hasn't been working : )

A certain memeber used to do this a lot. I agree. Don't make posts like this. Post after you got it and show us. It makes it seem like you are shill bidding for yourself or a friend to get others to bid and lowers your credibility. You seem like a good dude so I would recommend not doing this.

How can you tell the pic was taken with a loupe?

The right side of it is kind of fuzzy compared to the left on the obverse which would indicate that the loupe was not exactly square to the coin. At least that's how it worked for me...

I understand. In this case I know the seller. He is just tilting the coin to the lens to catch the color. Hope you get it. Looks like nice mint set toning.

No problem man. But as Boss pointed out, there are multiple reasons its not a good idea. Plus, its probably not cointalkers that have been outbidding you :)
    I could be wrong though.

Yeah, if you know you want the coin, then I wouldn't show it, but if you have questions....PLEASE post it before you bid. We are more than happy to help with any questions.

That being said - I can only think of one time that I put in a bid on a coin I saw posted by a CT member. It was a fake coin and the only bid was $0.25. The coin was worth about $15-$25, and so I put in I think $10. I was out bid at once... :D

Normally I would not bid against a CT member -

What are we talking about? I've quoted the full text of the original post as it reads on my computer.

I take it you only read that first post and got confused, it will all come clear if you read the rest of the thread

With all due respect, editing an initial post to effectively delete it is an unnecessary, and irritating action, which results in late comers being confused and irritated due to the inability to see what the subsequent posters were talking about.
