I know the dates of the next two Lincoln release ceremonies, but where will they be held? Anyone going? It sure doesn't seem worth it, as the cancelled rolls are selling for 20 bucks.

Cent 3 is released August 13th in Illinois. I couldn't locate a site but I suspect Springfield.

Cent 4 is released November 12th in Washington, DC. Again, no site listed but I suspect Union Station is a good candidate. Thats where the buffalo nickel was released. I think a great back drop for the release in DC would be the Lincoln Memorial.

I live in Springfield & that's the rumor.

Just guessing as to the location, I'll say out at his tomb at Oakridge or even the state fairgrounds next to the scarey, 30 ft. statue of Young Abe.
The state fair starts the next day so I imangine it will be crowded.

That statue is scary, hokey and tacky all at the same time. I'm surprised it hasn't been disappeared as an affront to good taste by now. It has to literally scare small children. How horrifying. 100 adjectives all spring to mind, none of them complimentary.
