Is this a German coin? I can't seem to find out anything about this coin. Please help me find out where it hails from and if it has any real value. Thanks.

Yes the coin if from the German Empire.

Copper 1 Pfennig, struck between 1890 and 1916.

Please confirm me if the mintmark is "G". If yes, It was struck at the Karlsruhe mint with a mintage of 3,100,000.

The value is vf 9.00EUR; xf 25.00EUR and unc 62.50EUR.

The coin should weight 2.0 g with a size of 17,5 mm.

It was valid until February 28th. 1942.

1 pfennig, copper, KM#10 in the 19th Century Standard Catalog of World Coins. Mintage for 1895 was 20,152,000 at Berlin (A), and nearly 14,000,000 combined at Munich (D), Muldenhutten (E), Stuttgart (F), Karlsruhe (G) and Hamburg (J). Depending on mint mark the 2001 3rd Ed. values it at 25¢-$10 F, $1-25 VF, $2.50-35 XFand $8.50-100 Unc. Berlin has the lowest value and Munich the highest.and 25¢ in VF, all depending on mint.

The mint mark must be in the dark area at the top of your picture, as I can't see it. I would estimate the grade at VF details, net F due to the discoloration on the eagle.

EDITED TO ADD: I must have started typing about the time Goosen posted. Where do you see a "G"?

The mint mark is in either side of the "tail" of the bird. It is a G. You can see it if you look at the bottom of the coin. I don't know how it would be rated. There is some wear but you can easily read everything.

Aha. I wasn't expecting the double mark, and just mistook the Gs for more design doodads.
That's why I rated it VF details, even though IMHO the discolorations drop the overall grade to F.

Krause values the Karlsruhe version at $1 F, $3 VF, so maybe a buck and a half would be a fair retail value.
