The Baltimore Whitman show is only 3 weeks away. And for the first time in a long while I have some money. I'm in the process of finalizing my wantlist. #1 on the list: - SL Stars/No Drapery Dime (1838/39/40) AU or low MS (NGC or PCGS). This would finish my type set from about 1810 through 1964. #2 on the list: - Half Cent - Liberty Cap - Least expensive variety in XF (1795 or 1797). I'll look at some VF's and if they appeal to me, that would save some money. This would fill one of the MANY holes in the early part of my type set. After those two coins, and in no particular order (and not all of these): - Fill some of the holes in my Half Cent/Classic Head set. - Fill some of the holes in my Half Dime/Capped Bust set. - Upgrade 4 Morgan dollars - Get a short set of IHCs (1900-1909) in MS; I have the '08-S and '09-S already - Get a short set of IHCs (1895-1899) in MS
Anybody bidding in the Presidential Coin and Antique Company Exonumia Auction in the Baltimore Convention Center during the Whitman show on June 13, 2009? encil:
I'm going to be at the show, Baltimore is a great coin town and I highly recommend the show if you are able to make it. It's always our best wholesale show each year, and I just walk the floor. I like the spring/summer months because the after the show night life downtown there is AMAZING, not to mention the food. A water taxi ride down to Fells Point is a must have. My wife and I are going to go a few days before the show to hit the national aquarium and the sights... see you got me all excited! I CANT WAIT!!
I'll be going to the Baltimore Show as well - I ran into Glen Burger, the error specialist, the other day while having dinner and a few beers. He was great to talk to...we talked for over an hour before we introduced ourselves. He'll be at Booth 752 at the show.
Please check for me, do they have any signed (R.S. Yeoman) Red or Blue books? never mind, I looked 229 pages (or so) and zero books.
