IS it worth collecting

    I keep seeing gold and platinum layered coins as part of a set. Are these layered coins really worth any upcharge and are they worth keeping?

    Plated coins have no numismatic value

    NO!!!!!!! The TV hucksters make a fortune on these. These are aimed at new unsuspecting collectors. They have no collector value whatsoever. They are altered coins sold by the TV people to squeeze out more sales. The plating is not done by the mint.
