It is hard to grade photos of coins that are almost all at an angle, and in a mylar 2x2 that doesn't allow a good look at the surfaces. If it is your coin, best to remove it from the holder and photo it straight on , obverse and reverse, and if you want to show toning or luster, one or 2 from an angle. It is difficult for me to tell if really uncirculated or a high grade circulated. The field on the right hand side seems impaired in 2 of the photos, but not in another. Jim Jim
Man, this looks like a proof! But 42 S's were not proofs, or I do not believe so... This coin has been polished, or something to brighten the coins appearance, so some sort of cleaning, and it is badly dinged, and has some rim damage... I say 8 cents might have been a good price, if you think it is a good price... There is a difference between UNCIRCULATED and POLISHED This one should have been a little more obvious, with the mirror like finish, on a circulating coin Next time you go to the dealer's 8 cent bin, look for one with good detail (Jaw and Cheek not separated and FULL LINES IN WHEAT STALKS) It doesn't have to be a bright red, it can be brown, and you could have an AU with those details, I told you to look for Bring the RedBook in with you next time, and make sure you know exactly what you are buying It seems you are buying a lot of things on impulse, but by now, if you would have just waited, through everything, you would have saved up near enough money to get a very nice coin, graded, and all.. Be careful with buying, and stop being so hasty (I know what I'm talking about, I sued to be this way) Just be patient, and the right coin will come along
Oh what i had done is bought about 300 pennies and looked through them and sorted them , this one kind of stuck out to me so I posted it, but I do agree I buy on impulse more than looking specifically for a nice coin, or type of coin I generally buy what looks good to me, or what I would like have have in my collection. So far I have spent about $100.00 total including a PCGS slabbed coin (this is of course excluding the majority of my collection which my parents and grandparents gave to me)
Just always be careful in the marketplace... You can get fantastic deals, IF you are patient... I was patient, and got a quarter eagle, AU58 near wholesale I just saw a 1883 CC PL morgan, go for under $250...NOW THAT IS SOMETHING! I'm going to give you a little advice Carson City morgans, are not selling good now, and you can get a MS64 for MS62 money You can get MS65's for hundreds under wholesale Once you have around $230, go shopping around for a nice morgan, CC, graded by NGC or PCGS MS63-64 Or, just save up that money, and buy a bunch of coins, you NEED to complete, whatever set you started... It is more fun to buy 1 big coin, or 20 coins at once, than buy 1 coin every week..

Well Carson City, is one of the Mints in which the Morgan was struck S D (1921 ONLY) O P (No Mintmark) CC The CC's are typically the rarest, of all mintmarks, on all United States coinage. The CC morgans, are just selling very cheap... at the moment, they will jump back up soon
You can get them GSA hoard, in the special case, or just regular slab I prefer the regular slabbed ones, and some of them have the GSA designation on them Good luck to you
