How are people getting the reverse, obverse, then the label of the coin all in the picture
Are you guys doing it via photoshop, or another program??
I can not do this, with anything I have on my computer, and I was just wondering how you guys did it.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, lehigh does it with all his photos, and in the post your new coin purchase thread, the man12 just did it with his new coin...
    Any help?

They have 2 coins (both the same) and put them side to side.
I think when selling you should show both sides of the exact coin you're selling....:high5:

Not exactly what I meant chief...
They have the SAME coin, the have the obverse, reverse, side by side, then below it, they have the label
Look at lehigh's gallery, they might be there, if not, then try to find a post with it...

You can do it with graphics software too. If you don't have Photoshop, you can use GIMP, which is free and does most everything Photoshop does.

Its done with softwareTM. I use several but there is a freebie out there that does a nice job called photoscape.

This pic was done with it and it took all of a minute to do.

GIMP is very good and once you get acquainted with it, you can do some more advanced stuff.

i size my individual obverse and reverse pics to 500 pixels square, then the tag at 140 pixels tall, then open a new file in photoshop 500 tall and 1000 wide.....this allows the joining of the obv and rev which covers the frame, i then add the smaller tag shot and drag it into position, then do a save as.

the obv and rev pics must be cropped right to do this, you cannot just crop to edges of the coin, here is an example.

as you can see, my lighting is a catastrophy, i had to join 2 pics with different brightness and then change one to make the coin appear as in hand, but the plastic color changed......this photo stuff is an art in itself...

    i give up

I prefer to use the GIMP. But what gives it a plus is that it is open-source.:D I don't have any experience in photoscape, so I can't say anything for it.
