1817 High Grade Large Cent - Grade and Opnions

    Hey everyone!

    I just acquired this 1817 (N15 R4/3) Large Cent and wanted you're opinions on it :) They're quite hard to find in this grade, so I'm glad I got mine cheap :D

    It has some light rubbing from wear on its high points, but other than that it has beautiful natural color :D

    Ryan,

    How close is that picture the the actual color? The reason I ask is that the rub spots on the face are a suspicious color. I usually only see that color in a coin that has been messed with. I hope the camera just made them seem lighter then they are.

    Like others, I have concern with the color.

    Setting that issue aside, the coin appears to have XF details.

    Nice coin for almost 200 years old! Congrats!

    Again the color is a little off on the wear points, but still not a bad coin at all.
