How come the only 1954 cents I've found in roll searching have been S mint? I mean, there were 3 1/2 times as many D and P minted, but I've found like a half-dozen S in $50 worth of pennies, but no D or P... :rolling: Now that I think about it, I DO live in San Francisco... Joe
In rolls, not much. Two log cabins. About 50 wheats from 100 rolls, but about 25 of those were from 5 "sweet" rolls, with nothing newer than '68. I got some BU 68 and 67 pennies from those. No wheats older than 45. I did, however, find a 38 Jefferson in my first batch of 20 nickle rolls last week. I actually got lucky from eBay a few weeks ago. I had NO 1930's pennies in my folder, so bought a roll of "unsearched" 1930's wheats from eBay - $2.76 + shipping. All I really wanted were some hole fillers. I got 15 holes from 30-39 filled from the roll, plus an 1880 Indian, full LIBERTY, nice shield on the back! I guess they really WERE unsearched... Joe
Really, you think they were unsearched?? They probably had a 14 D in them before they re rolled them up... Congrats on your find
As long as you pay less than the thing is worth... I've been burned too many times on unsearched crap... Although my last roll was okay, it was a roll of buffalo... Only 12 no dates... And about 7 or 8 had a half or three fourths horn.
Wow, Joe, you lucked out on that roll. I'm too sceptacle to buy "unsearched" rolls, but that one worked out for you....
