Here is my small paper money collection, I've never been big on collecting paper money, but I pick up some pieces here and there... I really want a $20 1934 series note, and I always wanted a $10 1914 note. Well, here is what I got! LOL My latest purchase was the red seal $2, I paid $5.33...and I traded for the better looking 1976 $2 bill, 3 log cabins for it (it was to a friend) Any comments are appreciated I'm going to put the other pictures in another post, because they won't fit here
the 1995 and 1976 $2 federal reserve notes look like they have some graffiti (i.e. non original markings) on them, but other than that, they all look pretty nice
Yes I had gotten those from my grandfather about 6 or 7 years back... I thought they were the coolest things in the world at the time... Just a little graffiti, but they still are pretty nice
I think the ones with the graffiti are fairly nice too, but I just can't help looking at the graffiti since I'm very detail oriented.
That is a fine start to a US collection but dont forget just like coins there is a world of wonderful notes out there LOL
Thanks I might make my next purchase a little bit later... Hoping for a $20 series of 1934 Then maybe a 1914 $10 I'll show you guys when I make the purchases... (But first thing is first, I gotta get me a $10 INDIAN!)
De Orc, please don't remind me... LOL I think some World Notes, are kinda neat looking, and may just pick up a few
I have a few world notes, but for some reason have never really caught the 'bug' to go out and obtain any more. Typically the only ones that really interest me are those from countries that I have visited...with a couple notable exceptions...I like my Romanian note with the transparent window and that notgeld I got from a forum member here is pretty nice too.
There are hundreds of Polymer notes out there, some of them are realy lovely and I hate to say it but some not worth the plastic they are made out of LOL
Pulling an image directly from your collection, this is the one I think I have...bought a couple shortly after they came out. Personally I think it falls into the 'lovely' category. btw: Are the serial numbers really on the reverse of that note?
That is a VERY lovely note i am also very smitten by Suriname notes. The artistry is amazing. Not sure if they have gone polymer yet, but if they do, they will be some very sweet notes!
Haven't seen those. I do like the new notes from Bermuda with the birds on them. One or two of those could be my next non-US notes.
Wow, that is a cool note. I need one..... (I seem to have an awful bug that makes me want all kinds of paper money these days....)
...and if someone really wants one they seem like they're still pretty easy to obtain for next to nothing. Hmmm....maybe I should get a couple more.
