I have two 1 PICE coins of 1943 - different types - pls see below. Same mint - it seems they had both types from the same mint ?.....

    Would appreciate feedback ... :smile

First one from Bombay mint and second from Pretoria.

The Bombay one has a diamond mm while Pretoria is a bead mm. Look carefully and you would notice the difference between the mint marks! These are not from the same mint. :)

    mint marks different

Ok.... that made me take my magnifier and look :)

The first one has a four sided 'diamond' sort of mark....

The second one has a rounded dot....

Well.. thanks ...(V) ... now I will have to check the remaining lot of 1 pice coins and see if any more 1943s are there.....:smile

    regards

I checked my lot - there were 4 more 1943s - 3 were with the dot mm - and one without any mm - pls see image. Is this Calcutta mint ?
