See the L Y and T. Looks to me like a real doubled die.

Can you get some isolated pics of the areas in question?

Everything looks normal except for the "T", can we have bigger photos?

They do kinda have a doubling to them....
Especially the close up of the "L"
I can't say 100% that it is a DD though

Sorry, but all I see are reflections. But there still may be something there I can't see. Besides I have had a long day and my eyes are worn out.

I do see doubling and notching on the L and T as well as the I. I would say a possible doubled die

    Maybe!!!
If I could see a close up of IGWT & Date I would agree that it is a DDO. 1936P is one year noted in the new Cherrypicker Guide.
    But still a Gem Mercury!!!

The L looks like a mark, eg bag make, or what ever.
the T looks like strike doubling.

[Just to annoy: No added value.]

It;s not machine doubling because the images are not flat shelf like there raised and rounded and do apear to be notching.

    Hi,

Sorry, but the L took a minor hit, It's not a notch.

The T shows no evidence of the coin being a doubled die , nor does the Y.

As nice as the coin looks, you are looking at evidence of die wear on the TY.

    Thanks,
    Bill

There is die wear on this coin, but it also still looks like a doubled die if you look closer :bigeyes:to the T the image is raised and clear not distorted as it would be if it were die deterioration doubling, and there is indications of notching on the lower right side of the T

So then you think it is a double die? Would that add value?
