The long awaited Lincoln Bicentennial pennies have arrived. There was a huge event in Lincoln, Indiana on Thursday, which I regret I didn't go to. I think the newspaper said there were about 700,000,000 minted, but they are quickly being hoarded by collectors. Do any of you know if I could get them at my local bank?
Getting them at local bank?? Good luck... Some people have been able to get them there... Most of us have already purchased them off the mint's website, and now, everything is backordered... My order is for 5/29, and the current order would be 7/13 You can buy rolls of them on ebay, if you need them now, or you can wait until they cool down a little, if they do cool down like the log cabins... I can't wait for the next two pennies to be released, I just can't wait to see the mintage numbers!!!
