lower price i got fifty cents a pack for 2 cu ft silica gel. is there anyplace that is cheaper than $0.50?.
silica gel i still prefer silica gel on small pack rather than those with color verification. small pack is much more simple, convenient and easy to use. i hate using oven.

Here this article will take the mystery out of the tiny little beads we call "gel" http://www.apsnyc.com/pdf/silica_gel_SW_2003.pdf RickieB
to rickieB that article is so cool, but it is a little deep for me, since i am an accountant only. can you explain a little bit in simple language?. thanks.
Elaine... The mathamatical Model presented here is really quite simple. Use what ever storage device you have safe, box, closet, ect...ect and simply plug in the numbers. As you can see all silica gel is not created equal...LOL I have a gun type safe and I have calculated with a little overkill .... I use 3x 2.2 lb boxes in my safe. The air exchange rate in my safe area is limited due to the seal I have on the safe so I use the internal cubic feet in the safe as an exchange rate! I have a RH sensor in my safe and it is set at aprox 45%. The 3 boxes lat me 90-100 days with out having to dry them out. I simply recharge by baking at 225 degrees F for 5 hours. FYI...do your calculations for the the most humid time of the year...Summer! The relative Humidity for any area, town city airport can be easily found by using this web site. http://weather.noaa.gov/index.html Regards, RickieB
now that we got a lot of 2009 unc. pennies. what we should do to keep those pennies shinny and brilliant?.
