This is the third installment of my weekly series of polls about the state quarter program. The idea behind this one will be to run through the state quarters and see what designs are the most popular. Here is how this poll will work. Every week, I will post a poll containing 2 years worth of state quarters. The poll will allow multiple choices to be picked. So, if you like every coin from those 2 years you can vote for all of them if you want...if you don't like any than don't vote for any this round. I don't want you to vote just for your favorite, please vote for every design you find appealing. The poll will close after 7 days and the next poll will be posted. After 5 weeks, all the designs will have been voted on in this manner. The top 10 highest scoring designs will then be put in a poll against each other in the 6th and final week (and for that poll, each voter will only be able to choose one design). In the event of a tie, I will find some way to sort it out. Designs Already Voted On (Top 10 in bold...includes ties) Virginia (2000) - 11 votes Connecticut (1999) - 10 votes New Jersey (1999) - 8 votes New York (2001) - 7 votes Delaware (1999) - 4 votes Massachusetts (2000) - 4 votes Rhode Island (2001) - 4 votes Georgia (1999) - 3 votes Maryland (2000) - 3 votes Pennsylvania (1999) - 2 votes North Carolina (2001) - 2 votes Mississippi (2002) - 2 votes South Carolina (2000) - 1 vote Vermont (2001) - 1 vote Kentucky (2001) - 1 vote Tennessee (2002) - 1 vote Ohio (2002) - 1 vote Indiana (2002) - 1 vote New Hampshire (2000) - 0 votes Louisiana (2002) - 0 votes
I voted for one 2003, Maine, not because I was born there but because I love the design; and one 2004, not because I grew up there, but because I think it is the best design of the bunch, which isn't saying much! I think they should have left the shuttle out.
I voted for that one too. But, remember you can vote for more than one if you like more than one. Don't just vote for your favorite. I don't think this was the best year. I feel like many of the designs got better as the series moved along.
