I don't know if it was on 3 cent pieces, but it looks like longacre doubling to me.

Well, I have a CherryPickers guide, and it has examples like my coin in it. I was just wondering if mine fell in that catergory.

it doesn't appear to be true doubling.

It is Longacre doubling, and there is also traces of die clashing above the date and from the bust to the last A in America.

Do a search of CT for "Longacre doubling" and you will find my post. I'm sure there are other posts and threads that describe Longacre doubling as well or better than mine.

Longacre doubling with a die clash. Pretty common for 3c nickels.
