Nothing special here, but am wondering what your opinions are. I'm certain the 06-D has been cleaned. What would the detail grades be, and which would you rather have in your type collection?
I'd rather have the first one.. which from the pics I call an average AU and it doesn't look to have problems. and the other one I'd net VF
The 1906 D looks Cleaned, EF/AU details, I'm leaning towards AU The 1901 looks AU58-MS61, and I'm going to say MS60 on it Nice coins, and I'll take the first one please.. LOL
from the pictures the 06-d looks off color is it actually like that? And definetly would choose the 1st coin which I would grade AU55-58
awesome coins. if i had one, they would be at the top of my collection and the most expensive, by far. the second one does look cleaned. id rather have the 1st one. i will PM you my address so you can send it to me, thanks! lol
Thanks for the input. The first one was a recent purchase and is an upgrade from the second one. I don't think there is that much more in terms of details, but the surfaces are much better especially in terms of luster. The 06-d is dead in regards to luster. I was thinking about an AU-58 for the first one, and an XF details on the 06-d.
Yeah, I like that too... The whole "average" thing.. These coins are amazing... My biggest purchase so far in the numismatic world has been $253.50, and now I'm saving back up for a $10 Indian... They are selling great right now, if you are a buyer, but the thing is, I won't have the cash until end of year, probably! LOL Once again great $10 Coins you got there
Yeah, $10 eagles in general are great coins. What I mean is considering that most $10 eagles are AU-high end mint state; these coins, as eagles, are average for the type. Does that make sense?:kewl:
Yeah it does... For most collectors though, we'd be lucky to get coins like this Shoot these are nice in VG8!
True. I am very blessed. Yeah. Not only nice, but you may have a condition rarity on your hands. There aren't too many of these that naturally circulated that much.
