1027 portughesa silver coin

    Can someone please identify this silver coin and how much is worth? On the coin is engraved portughesa 1027


    i had uploaded 2 phottos with the coin

    It says Portuguesa, which means Portuguese.

    I don't think it's a coin.

    Hi Coolzero welcome to CoinTalk, I have to agree id dont look like a coin, it looks more like a medal to me
    If the date is 1027 then it might well be a portrait of Ilduara Mendes, Countess of Portugal (Bit hard to tell from the picture if it is a man or a woman) or possibly if a man Alfonso V of León who died about that time fighting the muslims in Portugal

    Looks like crossed golf clubs and a ball on a tee! Ball marker of some sort?

    LOL I did think that but then you have the bear crest, as for worth sorry I cant help you on that I dont even know if it is a modern piece or a contemperary one, nor what metal it is made of. Hopefuly somone will come along who can throw more light on it for us.

    I was thinking the same.

    Besides, portuguesa wouldn't be spelled like that 1000 years ago.
