I was looking at my little Swastika coin collection last night (I have 41 total coins from 40 - 44, 1, 5, and 10 denominations) and on the reverse there appears to be a mint mark or something. However, there were a great deal of small letters As, Ds, Js., Gs, etc. Does anyone know of the best website I could read up on these coins?

I think I'll sell some of the repeats that I have as well....

    Thanks for your assistance.

    ah swastika coins

    hail bobbeth :D

    BTW those are mint marks

erman coins bear a mint mark, indicating where the coin was minted. D indicates Munich, F Stuttgart, G Karlsruhe and J Hamburg. Coins minted during WW2 include the mint marks A (Berlin) and B (Vienna). The mint mark A was also used for DM coins minted in Berlin beginning in 1990 following the reunification of Germany. These mint marks have been continued on the German Euro coins

Just a side note since this topic does not have anything to do with today's coinage: That page is pretty outdated - it refers to an "Official German Mint" (there is no such thing as a national mint here), the address in Bad Homburg is the old one (pre-1993) of the Numismatic Office, and forget about the bwpv.de web address too. :D
