A Flea Market Surprize

    lol, i picked up a 1944 wartime nickle for 1$ today. at the same pawn shop that tried to sell me an "original" 20 dollar liberty gold piece for 19.99. i guess they didnt see the word "copy" stamped on the obverse because the salesman swore it was an original piece. what a riot!

    Someone who doesn't know what he/she is selling and just wants to get rid of the stuff. The best thing to look for are foreign coins. They are generally heirlooms from grandma's vacations. The sellers are generally clueless especially if the coins aren't silver. I've gotten some very rare coppers in excellent condition that way.
