On the $100 National Bank Note, Liberty appears to be winged and standing with a fasces, what is engraved twice into the surface on which the fasces rest? 3.1 Who engraved this vignette? 3.2 What does the “fasces” represent in this particular instance? 4. The Proof Series 1915/18 $20 Federal Reserve Note back features the Transportation theme, “air, land and sea”. “This note” was also the first Federal Paper Money to display what? 5. The Vignette “Union and Civilization” appears on the back of the $20 National Bank note was engraved by who? 5.1 It was re-engraved in 1921 and used on what financial documents by the BEP? Post an Image of this vignette as it was re-engraved (if you can find it). Who was it engraved by? In case any of you are wondering if this comes from the Book Titled; The Engravers Line, the answer is no! Good luck!! RickieB
Although we know them as Legal Tender Notes...at the bottom on the notes face it is engraved Treasury Note...Series of 1869!! One in the same... from Series 1875 on, this changes to "United States Notes" RickieB
well sure lol but treasury note also refers to a different type of notes... using 2 different types of notes to refer to 1 is a bit confusing .. at least for me
Whoops!!! I meant to say National Bank Notes...I edited the correction in BLUEsorry for the confusion!! Thank you Daggarjon!! RickieB

You 4 are the only remaining contestants for the Contest as a whole! I have not talleyed up the scores yet between you 4...but you 4 are well ahead of all the others! No way for them to catch up at this point! I would like to thank all those that attempted the Contest..I know it was fairly difficult to look up all the info and meet the time lines. I appreciate your involvement and it is my sincere wish that you all came away with more knowledge than you entered with!! Best regards to all... RickieB
I'm the only one with a username that doesn't start with D. Xtra points for being unique? Hahahhahahah Best of luck to you Daggarjon, Dursin and Dready. Formidable opponents.
I am sorry to say that I must decline any request for Element #2 answers after 5:00 PM. It would not be fair to the others who missed the timeline... Please understand that I can not go back on my rules for this Element. With kind regards, RickieB
gawd i hope not. i will have zero chance to work on it at work. but with 20 hours, i would have a few hours after work. Good luck guys! Ill buy ya's a drink when we are done
I just discovered that while not a mule, i do have the Fr-38. So ... to alleviate any guiilt .. 'IF' i win, i will have to find a way to break the chains holding my existing note in check This means, that my note will have to find a new home. It may not be as 'purdy' as the note being given away in this contest, but it still has alot of character AND needs just as much lovin as the note in this contest So good luck to all ... and i hope everybody will get a lousey nights sleep, and be visited by gremlins that pop bed springs all night long
