I promised myself that I would by no more coins until the coin show this weekend in Denver. I started poking around last night looking for deals, and couldn't resist this coin (ANACS MS63), which by the way I can't really afford, so I'll probably have to flip it, but for what I paid I should be able to make a few bucks. I don't really want to tho, it's one of my favorite coins.

Thanks Lorgar, but I'm sure your coin is awesome as well, I mean, it's GOLD :) I'm pretty sure I've decided to keep it, I can't give up any of my needy kids!

    A beautiful coin, but 63?
The scratch on the obverse just distracts me...LOL
    A nice coin...
I have two of those myself, 1910 and 1911, 1910 is AU55, and I'm not revealing the 1911, because I did a sorta guess the grade thread.. lol

The coin must have a lotta luster... :)

Do you mean reverse? I saw that, but there is no way that it would grade 63 with that, so I assume it is on the holder. We'll see later this week :hail:

I see 3 potentially significant marks. I can't tell if they are on the holder or the coin. Anyways, they are : by the eagles head, eagles right foot, and indian's chin.

Regardless, I still say its a beautiful coin! :kewl:

It has too many contact marks on the cheek...
And the scratch I'm talking about is on the obverse, near the chin, and the star.

I thought that was a "spike chin" error, like on the new Lincolns :rolling:

And the big scratch on the eagle's legs....
Man, ANACS Graded this a 63?
That is quite an amazement :D
It is still a nice coin, good luck with it
