1937 Buffalo Nickel

I found this in a roll, is it plated or something like that?

More than likely it is.

 

I would say either plated, or polished. Still a nice find for a roll.

 

Very polished coin it has that apearance to it.

Old timers will remember rubbing mercury on a nickel. They look just like that, and I defy you to get the stuff off of the coin once its on there. I had one just like it. Might even be the same one. I passed it along in a lot of cheap nickels.
