For some reason the sun worked on the first couple of coins and made the rest have a glare. Oh well you get the idea. A nice bunch of Braided Hair cents. The 1852 is stunning - if you look closely you see the start of the cracks off the crown. Look better as thumbnails. The variety is listed in the titles.
Nice cents!:thumb: Maybe I will be lucky and find some that nice. But wth my luck I probably wont with my budget being $20-$30 each.
I sent you a PM on where I got most of these. Thanks for all the comments - most of these went into my dansco album. Will try to get pictures of the matron heads (lower grades) tomorrow. Gotta love large copper.
Those look really nice, think you could post larger pix the next time around? On my pc they are showing up as little squares in the upper left corner of the screen.
That is a very nice group Mark! You must have a sizable collection by now. Mark, what arera do you concentrate on with regard to large cents? is it mostly the middle and late dates? Also, how do you keep them? I place mine in Intercept Shield holders. I think they are adequately protected in those. The only problem is i cannot get them here. Nice coins! Eduard
Great group of coins. I don't collect large cents, but I can recognize better than average grades when I see them.
My first goal is to complete my dansco album. Most of these went into the album. While I have most dates I still need several of the varieties and not all are of this quality. I will then probably get some of the coins in the album graded - then replace them with different varieties. So I am trying to complete the album first - with the exception of several key dates which I would never put in there. Then I want a complete date set for matron and braided hair graded XF to AU. All the while I will have several extra varieties in airtites.
Great plan there mark! :thumb: That's very similar on what I'm trying to do, but with Matron, Bust and Cap Cents Good luck!
