Hello folks! I just couldn't resist on buying this first one. I first saw these last Saturday, but I couldn't buy it at the time. But today I finally got them. The first pic is of an 1831 cent counter-stamped with "W.J. Scott". The others are 1795, 1840, 1845 and 1847. But my baby at the moment is the 1831.
Has anyone heard of W.J. Scott? The only thing that I can find out is Scott was a gunsmith in Albany, New York around 1858.
Nice large cents. I am uploading some of my new ones now. Looks like large cent weekend. I have to work on my pictures - for some reason the sunlight worked on a couple but was to bright on others.
