pres. harrison is not the lowest mintage. beside that. you can buy it from the dealers at $37.00 per roll. the prez dollars series mintages will be lower and lower this year and maybe next year too.
I echo that question. If I can get a mint wrapped harrison from a dealer for 37 and flip it for $300 on ebay, sign me up!!!
Well, I had some but picked up another 12 red white and blue mint rolls at face today. Another dozen are available. This for real? My rolls are not the "fancy" red white and blues, but they are from the mint, are red white and blue, and have the info on the outside of the roll. 0CD
Where, where? Yes, it is for real. If you have that many, you will make a mint on Ebay....yes, pun was intended. Look up at some links earlier in this thread
Yes -- this if for real. Put 'em up on ebay. Except, what do you mean by not the fancy ones? Other than not being in the box, how do they differ from those that are in the sealed mint box?
Imagine if someone was counterfeiting mint wrappers, and just putting bank rolled coins inside , with the prices on eBay for mint rolls you could make a lot of money, so it wouldnt surprise me.
Mine came out of a $500 mint box, sent to the bank. The wrappers are labeled but not like the rolls from the two roll set the mint sells for $35. I can't take a pic right now. The wrappers from the two roll set look more like the flag. These rolls are white with red trim at the ends and blue lettering
I wonder how much the Mint would charge you just for the wrappers. I mean, since they said they ran out of the coins. Forget collecting the coins, I want those wrappers! :headbang:
so you are telling me that there is no sense on holding on to or even offering the roll I just got at my local bank today? I saw this thread and hadn't read it, but when they said that they had WHHs, I figured that I couldn't lose at face. Should I just spend them?
Check completed sales . . . perhaps there's a premium (although much smaller) on the bank rolls, too (after all, the Mint did not offer WHH rolls in their "direct deliver" program)
Well, I finally got my first day of issue Harrison today. I bought three because I have three of all the others. It only took two months to get this one and needed to deal with the mint canceling the order on me. Does anyone think that these FDOI presidential dollars will be worth anything some day? I'm fully amazed with the price of the Harrison rolls. I gave up on the rolls after year 1 thinking that it wasn't going to be a big hit. Who would think that Harrison, a president that basically spent one day governing, would be the big hit with the collectors. Will it turnover to the FDOI? I'm hoping!!!
Here are the "bank rolls" that can be obtained from most banks: Here are the "Mint rolls" that were available from the US Mint, but are now sold out. These are the ones that everyone seems to be going crazy for: What amazes me is that the coins in either wrapper are exactly the same! No difference. It's not a matter of some of the coins being "satin finish" or anything like that. They're all the same. Only the paper wrapper is different. Go figure!
