Pretty, suprising that it is cupronickel. It has a mintage of 97,00 but a value of $2.00. For collecting I probably wouldn't want to pay more than $4 or $5.

Hey Byrd...it's you again! Thanks for your opinion. Let's see how the auction goes...I kinda like the shape of the coin...its different...and I don't have anything from Barbados!

I try to give my opinion when I can. Just remember you get what you pay for.:p

    Rightly said! :thumb:

Right now, I'm still new to the game, and not spending much on anything. The goal is to collect as many different coins (different countries) as I can. Also looking at commemoratives...basically, anything that I would like to show off.

Thanks to this forum I'm getting advise on what I'm bidding on! :kewl:

    so did u win? :)
btw the barbados 1/4 quarter is almost the same size as the us 1/4 and the best chances to notice its not a us coin is when its rejected by the vending machine :) and when u do that its time to celebrate!

No, I didn't win...someone trashed my hopes just 5 seconds before the auction ended! :rolling:

Thanks for the info about the coin...there will always be another auction. In any case, I'm spending way too much time on ebay these days!

There are a few of those for sale on ebay if you have a hunt round :thumb:

They put out some really cool coins. I have a couple of coins from Barbados. They are easy to find and are fairly cheap. Keep looking you'll find others.
