    Hi,

    Remnants of a die clash. That's a fairly strong one but not uncommon in the overall scheme of things.

    I don't see any signs of clash marks, what i see is a die gouge, and some die scratches along with some bad heavy indented marks from circulation .Looks like it's a grease filled die took some of the shirt out lower right side.

    So, do you guys agree that that is an impression of the head? You can clearly see the beard in the columns.

    I don't see any indications of a die clash on the obverse unless I just don;t see it ,please point it out to me.

    It's not absolutely necessary for both dies to be clashed... If the obverse die was changed after the clash but the clashed reverse die was left in place you would end up with this coin... with a clashed reverse and no indications of a clash on the obverse. OR I believe that light clashes can be polished off...
