Does this coin have Full Bell Lines and is in BU quality? If it is then it might be worth #3o for a type set or something.
Try rhese; Not the best photos' To me it seen that the bottom of the bells edge is uneven and rough. I think I'll return it. Bruce
It must ahve been the picture but I swear that las pic looked doubled. But what do I know I have been croossed-eyed looking at wheats all night.
I just looked at caccoins.com for a good representation of a Frankie with FBLs. They have a few. here's one that aslo has a rough bottom of the bell. I believe this is normal and my 1950 coin may very well be FBL. Now I'm inclined to keep it. www.caccoin.com/reference/franklin/C10_detail.jpg
This was the 1st answer from my photo. but if the coin looks like a Gem Bu and has a good Bell line NGC is were I would send it!
I still think the lines fade out a bit on the left side which might make it not grade a FBL. Hard to tell, but this one might not make the cut.
The pic's are good enough to tell - try again on the close up shots of the bell - have something you can rest your hand on as you take the photo ... Speedy
I thought the same thing. Maybe a clear close up of the area to the left of the crack would help. I really don't think this would get FBL because of that area.
Looking at this coin, I think it's MS65 at best. There are a number of distracting hits on Franklin's head that limit the grade to a maximum of 65 in my opinion. I still believe this coin is not a FBL based on the left side of the bell. So, if I was going to grade it...I would say MS64/65 slider no FBL.
