I'm searching any info about a big US gold coin hoard found in El Salvador in the 80's (mainly Saint Gaudnes double eagles), it was sold around $50 M, Heritage cites frequently this hoard in their auctions, but need more info.
    Anyone has some?

Why not ask Heritage about the hoard?

I did, the answer was "try to Google it"

Per Dave Bowers' 'American Coni Treasures & Hoards':
In June, 1989 Heritage Numismatic Auctions ... held a sale at Dallas Market Hall, and, among others..., offered "the El Salvadore hoard of 1909 S double eagles".

His footnote: Heritage Schedules Sale for June 15-18 in Dallas, Coin World June 7, 1989 p. 20.

yes, I found very limited information, another site mention that the total sale was about $55 M, so there was a couple of thousands coins, but can´t find anywhere the inventory.
