I've been a subscriber to Coin World for a few years now, and notice that occasionally delivery seems screwy. On more than one occasion, I've received two sequential issues on the same day! Yesterday I received the current issue, and the day before that (Monday) I received the previous issue. Is it normal for the weekly issues to arrive like this? Seems screwy to me.
Unless proven differently, I suspect the problem is with the USPS and their treatment of the class of mail used for Coin World.
I have the same problem with Numismatic News, so I'm sure it's the good old Post Office's fault. :goof:
Blame your local post office, and your route carrier. The Japanese language newspaper my wife subscribes to is delivered to the post office at the same time every day, Monday through Saturday. She receives anywhere from zero to four newspapers in any given day, and has even had situations where one day's paper got delivered before the ones from a couple of days earlier. Newspapers/magazines travel by "second class" mail, and can get bumped by high volumes of "first class" or "priority" mail anywhere along the way from the publisher to your house; including someone's laziness or lack of devotion to duty.
I get mine usually on monday but sometimes it will come days late and once i even got it three weeks late and it was mangled and missing pages
I never know when it's going to show up. Sometimes I think the postman is reading it ans sometimes I digure it's just the way it it. I think I'll just get the digital version as these are starting to pile up in several places around the house. I've been taking one to each Doctor appointment and leaving it there. The next time it's gone. Bruce
Anyone get the digital edition of Coin World? Opinions? I was thinking about getting it as it was only $9.99 per year.
Next go round I will. Compared to $50 for print, you better believe it. Plus you get Coin Values, Paper Money Values, WorldWide Coins and Scott Stamp Monthly included. I enjoy reading online more than the print.
