Wondering what commerative set this came from

I have a copper coin about the size of a quarter that has a bust of President Grant looking straight forward on the obverse. On the reverse it has his Bio. Just curious as to what it is. I know it probably doesn't hold much value.


I am at work right now (slow day nothing else to do but play on the computer) and can have a scan later on when I return home.

I looked a few placed and couldn't find anything like what you posted. A picture would help a lot........please post.

 

Sounds like it might be a commemrative medlet of some sort, if you can get a pic posted that would be great

 

i once saw a Lincoln one .. that sounds just like what you are describing but can't locate it

 

It sounds like it may be from the Shell Presidential set produced in the '70s.

 

I've got two full sets of those Shell Presidents.....I forgot all about those. Yes, it may be it. If we saw a pic we could tell.

 

Sounds like one of those low mintage Shell CommemOrative pieces.

 

I think I have a Few sets of those, Are they still worth only Face value ?? Zero?

 

I actually saw an incomplete set of those Shell coins on Ebay go for 15 bucks or something like that.....So, our full sets would maybe catch 20. Whoopeee!
